First, you need to build the frame for your coffee table. Stick the wooden boards together in the shape of the letter H. Make sure that all the ends are closed. You can measure the pieces of wood and make sure that all of them are of the same dimensions, except the one your place in the middle.

Drill vertical pocket holes beside every joint to attach the face securely on top. Use the pocket hole screws to attach the plywood plank on top of this frame. You can make it thicker if you like by attaching wooden boards on the four sides, though this isn’t necessary.

Now, drill in the legs. You can place some old drawers of the same dimensions in the gap between the legs of the H.
